Off to NYC!

Leaving this evening... I'll be in NYC for a week, visiting family and preparing for another big work project that has me arguing in front of the Court of Appeals in New Orleans next month!

While I'm in NY, though, I am definitely getting some training in. Already lined up some classes at Marcelo Garcia's and a private with Emily Kwok!

See you in a week :)

Ah...the John Minor Wisdom 4th Circuit building in the CBD across from Lafayette Park. I love that building and area. Try to stop by a little bar called Cape de Ville located adjacent (west I think) of the courthouse.

Hopefully you'll get a chance to train while in town. There are two BJJ schools I'd recommend, both Gracie Barra affiliated. I trained at the location on Magazine St (uptown - lovely part of town) and the new location in Metairie (suburb bleh). Let me know before you get there and I'll make introductions.

Emily Kwok is the bomb. She taught a killer armbar at the grand opening of my buddy Chris' school out here in Jersey. You should also check out Renzo's Academy if you get the chance. Good luck and have fun!

This has nothing to do with the post, but its inspiring to see a Lawyer that involves combative sports, so passionately, in her life. From a fellow martial arts enthusiast, enjoy your training in NYC.
