Slideyfoot is coming to visit!

I'm pretty excited-- Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and we'll be hosting Slideyfoot for a week!  (I'm sure you're familiar with his very nicely-thought-out blog about training and learning jiu jitsu, no?  He's a purple belt at Gracie Barra Bristol... go check it out if you haven't already..)

He's coming to Texas to get his jiu jitsu on, check out the art scene, and generally explore this very-different culture.  He's also stopping in Houston and Dallas, but *I* get him for Thanksgiving and I'm looking forward to that especially.

We should have somewhere between 16-20 people here for dinner.  I am going to wait and see how I feel-- I might actually train with him or I might not.  Seems a shame for Slidey to come all the way from the UK and me not get to roll with him.  But I'm doing all these shots again to grow lots and lots of eggs, so it just depends how explosive my ovaries feel.

Miss training.  Miss working out.

Timing sucks sometimes.... we had Fabiana Borges here for a few weeks, and I didn't get to roll with her AT ALL because I was too injured at the time. :( Hope you get to roll with Slidey. Hey, ever think about visiting Seattle? ;)

Fabi used to teach at the GB here in Austin, she's so sweet :) She just submitted my former instructor in about 30 seconds at a tournament last weekend, too, so I have much respect!

My husband went to grad school at UDub and I love Seattle. I think a visit is unlikely, no matter how much I would LOVE some chilly, grey rainy weather right about now... all this IVF stuff is so damn expensive. And hopefully I get pregnant at the end. Maybe I'll come visit during terrible twos??? hahaha then you will be sorry!

*hug* thanks for the thought though... I really wish I could. (You are ALWAYS welcome in Austin you know! 3 spare rooms and a pool!)

Yay! It will be extremely awesome to finally meet you and Mitch after all these years of purely online chatting. Assuming the Greyhound works ok, I'll arrive into town at 16:05 on Tuesday. :D

It would be cool to get in a light roll (I'm still injured, so it would definitely be light), but it would be terrible if that caused you any damage. So, I'm more than happy to just talk and help with the Thanksgiving prep. :D
