Um, maybe I expect too much of myself as a white belt? But when I watch the gi matches, I see "ugly" and "messy" and "inelegant" and "wasted effort." I see me nearly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, and I see (and remember) long periods of time where I am so one-track-minded that I doggedly pursue sloppy solutions and don't "flow" with what they give me... Argh! YES-- come to Austin-- school me :)

Slaughter fest in gi as per your usual. Nicely done.
Unfortunately in no-gi, the standup game is going to be completely different. Loser and tighter all at the same time?
I'm gonna try to make it down to Austin sometime to visit my friend, so maybe we can train.
