This combination is my bread and butter from closed guard! I can and sometimes do wax rhapsodic about the awesomeness of the pendulum sweep and the many awesome transitions it affords you. The most notable example of this combination that I can think of is Lovato using this exact sequence to win his final match in the 2008 Pan Ams.
It looks so easy. I definitely need to try this. Anyone ever watch these videos at work sometimes and feel like running out and throwing a co-worker a gi and telling them "here, put this on... I need to try something."
This sweep and it's variations is my number 1 sweep from guard. It's there all the time! For some reason even though I know several sweeps from guard, this is the one I keep coming back to :).
@Steve...yeah, that's why I am trying to recruit several co-workers to train BJJ...for some reason they're all convinced the only reason I want them to train is so I can beat on them :)

As usual, great post Georgette, I am going to try these on Saturday.
This has inspired me to make a tutorial when I have the time :) I'll post it here.
IT sure is beautiful. We drilled this position last night at the Labs for half an hour trying to work positions to go to and from failed sweep.
