Rambling analysis of my addiction to Brazilian jiu jitsu, with occasional political rants and musings on culture, sociology, food, love..
This just in....
Eben was the only person who reached out when I was having substance abuse issues. He was a great coach and he helped me with kind words. That's all I knew of him.
I'm truly sorry for your loss. I'm sorry for the whole ugly situation, and that his life was cut short. It will make it more difficult for everyone concerned. My heart goes out to his loved ones.
Wow. You feel sorry that his life was cut short? It's rather telling that he killed himself after being arrested for sodomizing a child. How about feeling sorry for his alleged-but-most-likely-actual victim. Good riddance to Eben.
Hey, guess what? I'm a prosecutor. A sexual assault survivor. Please don't be so DENSE as to think I don't feel sorry for the survivor(s). I think it would've been better to have him still alive, to face trial or whatever judicial process, to reach answers and some kind of closure for everyone. Does that mean people should not still grieve? No. He was human. People loved him. They have a right to grieve his passing, and I try to honor their grief as well as the feelings of the survivors and their families. It's not black and white.
Georgette, to read that you feel sorry just shows what a two faced ex prosecutor that you are. If this was someone under team Lloyd Irving you would have been the first to shovel dirt on their grave. The stench from you and your buddies at bloody elbow is just so foul. Why don't you go on and preach about how sorry you are about all the instructors under Gracie affiliated programs that have committed rape. You are such a hypocrite it's no wonder that no one takes you seriously.
Georgette - I'm genuinely curious as to why you leave up really hateful comments. I delete them. I don't want their negativity on my site, especially from anonymous hate-mailers.Sure, it's not illegal for them to have an opinion, but it doesn't mean anyone has to publish that opinion.
I truly think Victor Maldonado's opinions are so vile and poorly-thought-out that they only make him look bad. Trust me, I'm very sparing about which of his nonsense gets published. Every once in a while I decide his comments only attack me, not others, and I am really unaffected by his flapping gums.
