Kind of a funny little video, companion to a new book I've been hearing about called "Don't Wear Your Gi to the Bar (and Other Jiu Jitsu Life Lessons)". (It's available for a free download here.) I haven't read it yet but sounds like a cool concept.
In other news-- my massage yesterday was heaven. (I can't say enough good things about Catherine Collett, owner and myofascial massage maven at MyoAustin.) When I first went face down on the massage table, my back hurt just existing and I had to keep my pelvis tilted to alleviate the pain. Within the first five minutes, the pain disappeared. After an hour, I was nearly asleep and thought with delight that I'd bound up from the table wholly healed. Uh, not quite... but when I walked out to my car, I realized all the tension and tightness was gone. My hips were actually moving normally! And I did feel better the rest of the night. I have another massage scheduled for tomorrow. I won't be training today, most likely, though I will go to watch class and scoot around on the Swiss ball.
