Actually, NINETEEN counts.

Although the court's website shows eleven felony counts, the indictment actually contains nineteen separate counts– mostly sex offenses, both as principal and as an aider and abettor – but also on kidnapping, robbery and attempted aggravated assault for leaving her lying there on that cold concrete floor.  I'm told by a court official that perhaps the website maxes out at eleven, but nineteen is the real count.

Still waiting on lab results from the samples collected from her body.

The arraignment and status conference is tomorrow morning (Thursday April 4) at 9:30 am ET.  I'll hope to have a better idea of when and whether trial will take place.  I have been talking with the survivor and her family, who have asked me to come to DC for any trial proceedings.  We'll see.

From what I know, there is a plea offer on the table which is "wired" i.e. both guys have to take it or neither can take it.   The offer is that both plead to one count of second degree sexual abuse and agree to a Rule 11(e)(1)(C) sentence of a number of years in prison, some years above the top of the sentencing guidelines for second degree sexual abuse, but some years below the minimum for a first degree sexual abuse conviction under our guidelines.    This case is charged under D.C. law and is venued in D.C.’s Superior Court.  Rule 11 under D.C.’s rules is basically identical to federal Rule 11, meaning that the terms of a plea under Rule 11 has to be approved by the judge, who also “signs on” to such a plea.  Therefore, everyone knows what the sentence will be.

To date, neither defendant has accepted an offer, and neither has made any credible counter offer, although there have been some discussions that have led nowhere.  The almost-certain legal strategy IF they go to trial is to claim consent.

If anyone would like to leave a message of support and encouragement, I will happily pass it along.  I know it would mean a lot to her.

Please let her know that everyone I know in the jiu-jitsu community supports her and hopes her attackers go to jail for the maximum sentence allowable by law. Mostly though, let her know we're in her corner.

Michael Webber here.

I want to thank the brave lady who refused to let this go and is bringing the perpetrators to justice. No one deserves to be treated like that. You did and are doing the right thing and I support you.

Georgette, rumor started by a grappler at (former) Lloyd affiliate in Texas is that the "victim" in this case actually isn't a victim, that she was "backing that ass up" into (at least) Nick during the alleged assault, but that for some reason she wound up changing her mind and called it a rape. this guy claims to have seen the video.

personally, I find this rather hard to believe. how would he have seen the video? I can't imagine anyone not directly connected with the trial would have access to it. second, even if he had seen it, if his claims are true, why hasn't that news broken far and wide?

I'm just hoping you can officially debunk this rumor. have you seen the video?

Anonymous, can you please email me? I promise your identity will remain anonymous. georgettejitsu at gmail.

To answer your question would be inappropriate on a public forum like this, sorry to be mysterious but I don't want to potentially affect a trial by talking about the evidence before it's introduced. Email me.

yeah, I'm off to train but I'll email you after that.

Like John said, I'd like her to know that the whole BJJ community is with her. The majority of us are decent people who want to see justice served: grapplers from all over the world are standing by her.

Geo please let her know that while I have no direct experience with what has happened to her, and can only imagine the pain she has been through, I'd would like to tell her that she will get through this. We in the community love her and are there for her in any way she needs. We are all one, and you can not hurt one of us without hurting all of us. Together we will all heal. The love and compassion we can focus around this far greater than any evil Limp and his band of thugs can muster. We are here, we will not forget, anything she needs just ask.

Georgette - if you could, please let her know that other MAs - karateka, judoka, aikidoka, etc - also have her back and support her 110%. Rape is a violent act that has very little to do with sex - something many forget. Power used against any woman for personal gain is a very bad thing, and I applaud her for pushing forward when the world wants to find fault somehow with her actions (stupid, stupid world!). If there is anything either of you need assistance with, please do not hesitate to ask.

My heart goes out to you [The Victim], and I want you to know, I still believe that the day of reckoning is coming for your attackers. I have been doing martial arts since I was a boy, and I believe more than ever that all martial arts, are a friend of justice, I hope more than ever, you pass your story along, so that men like this never get away with doing this to another one of our fellow Jiu Jitsuka. You are braver than most, and I believe that through all of this you will find that you possess true indomitable martial spirit... I hope you keep training, and show these cowards that you will get better, and better, and that what they did to destroy you, only made you stronger than before. I know you came in like a Lamb, but I surely hope you intend to leave like a Lion... Take care warrior.

The surveillance tape was put on display for all people attending the courtroom on the days of the hearings..and there are signs of complainant "backing her ass up with her hands on the floor with nicks hands behind his waist" what kind of rape is that??? Georgette needs to see the tape for herself..since shes so set on finding "facts" get over yourself georgette oden. Youre a modern day Velma from scooby doo...only annoying as fuck

Lmao at u fools. They showed the video in open court at the preliminary hearing and yes she was backing that ass up when nick was behind her. She is a liar and will be exposed. Does everyone know that she is suing the night club because of the alleged incident !?!? A night club she snuck into!! And walking into a garage with her ass exposed and skirt pulled up way before any alleged rape started. U better have all ur facts straight when u post shit bcuz if anything u say isn't alleged u can face legal repercussion. Don't believe the hype. None of u assholes have seen the video but want to cry bloody murder. Look at the nfl player who just exposed the girl who said he raped her 5 yrs ago. This shit happens all the time.

if it comes out that the video(which none of you have seen) appears consensual and the alleged attackers are dismissed of there charges how will you continue to cover this story? If a jury declares it to be consensual do you still offer the same support towards the victim? These are some serious accusations and there is two sides to every story, I would like to hear Nick and Mateos.

I still find it odd that two men with bright futures and no previous arrests would brutally attack and rape a team mate that they would see the very next day..Does that not seem odd to anyone else?

Also, the video was played in court so anybody that was there that day saw everything that happened.

From my little corner of society; please pass along condolences, and gratitude (for following up on the charges and not letting it slide). I can't imaging how emotionally and psychologically devastating this would be.

so don't post it. testimony from expels and people who testified all point to an embarrassing situation. Caught on tape and with time to think it went from consensual to save her reputation. It was revealed that the CW had multiple infractions for breaking the no sex rule. some thing that she testified in the grand jury that she did not do. The CW was upset about her being shunned by a guy she had a sexual relationship with. what does she do? She punches the guy in the face. she then follows him out of the club and tries to get in a cab with him. He again rejects her and turns her away. broken hearted and scorned she goes back into the club and meets up with Nick. After dancing with him she tries to sneak into the restroom with him only to be turned around.

these to men are accused by her of rape because she was embarrassed. after she found out that there was a surveillance camera in the garage.
